  For sale is a rare marmot area 51, 2 person – 3 season tent in like new condition. The tent was named after the famed u. S military base, area 51, in nevada that is (or was) supposed to have housed the government’s ufo’s, alien life forms, etc. The tent lives up to its namesake with a sleek low slung single pole set up that certainly looks like an ufo.

Don’t let it fool you though, this tent has a very spacious interior. It is definitely larger than most 2 person tents these days. The tent is in amazing condition and is a perfect example of the fantastic marmot quality and workmanship. The area 51 is a single pole, single wall tent that sets up very easily. The colors of the tent are reminiscent of the dana design tents and it is most likely patterned off of the moss solus or helix single pole tent designs.

The single wall design allows for the easy set up and helps to keep the weight of the tent down. There is a single door with a nice sized vestibule. There are 2 roof vents that can be propped open and the fly can be rolled up at the foot of the tent to offer more venting.

All of these vents can all be opened from the interior of the tent saving you a trip outside. The tent specs are as follows. Material: nylon floor and polyester canopy that won’t sag in wet weather and is uv resistant.

Number of doors: 1 large d shaped door. Ventilation: perimeter venting + 2 canopy vents. Number of poles: 1 dac featherlite 9.35 mm pole.

Minimal weight: 5 lb 3 oz or 2.3 kg. The tent is in like new condition, it has only been used on one weekend trip. This tent does not have any condition issues, no rips tears or repairs.
