From the 70′s. Outdoor Venture Corp tent includes all poles (18). Tent was waterproofed at least 25 yrs ago, and was used less than 10 times. Good overall condition and was kept stored indoors. I believe its a 4 person tent. Outdoor Venture Corporation (OVC), founded in Stearns, KY in 1972, OVC was founded as a family recreational camping tent business and grew to become the second largest family/recreational tent supplier in the United States. After more than a decade in business, overseas competition, which was able to produce the tents at a lower cost (due to different labor laws/lower wages) left them unable to compete and OVC recognized the company needed to re-invent itself in order to survive. 2 PERSON TENT – MADE IN THE USA. VINTAGE USA MADE THE NORTH FACE EXPEDITION TENT. VERY GOOD CONDITION NYLON IS SOLID AND SHOWS MINIMAL FADE AND WEAR FOR AGE, SOME MINOR CORROSION TRANSFER FROM METAL HARDWARE TO TENT FABRIC OVER DECADES LONG STORAGE TENT DOES HAVE SOME ODOR THAT WE AIRED OUT BUT WILL LIKELY NEED A GOOD WASH AND AIR DRY WHEN IT REACHES ITS NEW HOME SEE PHOTOS of ACTUAL. ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES INCLUDES AS PICTURED KENYON SEAM SEAL TUBE HAS BEEN OPENED AND MAY BE UNUSABLE BUT WE ARE INCLUDING BECAUSE IT IS ORIGINAL TO THE TENT. MADE IN THE USA. DATE / ERA of MFR. MADE IN THE LATE 1970s to EARLY 1980s. VECTOR EQUILIBRIUM 2-PERSON 4-SEASON. COYOTE TAN, BROWN, FDE, KHAKI, ETC. 2 – 3 PERSON LABELED 2 PERSON BUT COULD FIT MORE. DENIER NYLON TOP OF TENT IS FLAME RETARDANT NYLON. 98″ X 81″ GROSS AREA SQUARED HEXAGON TENT IS SMALLER. ABOUT DATE OF MANUFACTURING. IN THE EARLY YEARS OF THE NORTH FACE, ALL OF THEIR CLOTHING AND OUTDOOR GEAR WERE MADE IN THE USA. BECAUSE OF THIS, IT WAS NOT NECESSARY OR A MATTER OF POLICY TO DISPLAY THE ORGIN OF ITEMS ON THE TAGS OR LABELS. IT WAS NOT UNTIL THE LATE 1970s WHEN A SHIFT IN MANUFACTURING OUTSIDE OF THE US STARTED TO TAKE HOLD. IT WASNT UNTIL AFTER THIS CHANGE THAT PEOPLE STARTED TO QUESTION WHERE AND IN WHAT COUNTRY THAT THEIR ITEMS WERE MADE. AS AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS OF MANUFACTURING MANY MANUFACTURERS, THE NORTH FACE INCLUDED, BEGAN BOASTING THAT THEIR WARES ARE MADE IN THE USA. BECAUSE THIS TENT HAS THE BROWN USA MADE TNF LABELS OUR RESEARCH INDICATES THAT THIS PIECE WAS MADE IN THE LATE 1970s TO EARLY 1980s.
