Has an ample rainfly but i noticed that the underside of the fly is sticky and makes it somewhat difficult to undo in order to set it up. Vintage Sierra Designs ’super Bivy’ Sack 1 Person Tent Mountaineering
For sale: vintage sierra designs bivy tent. This is a rather unique item: it employs a single fiberglass pole to form an awning over the user’s head during rain/snow storms. When you do not want to use the awning, you fold it back into its storage sleeve, take apart the pole and slip it into its storage sleeve, and you have a typical bivi sack. I used this but a single time, as i have continued to use my old sack for most alpine trips. The sac is in mint condition– no stains, holes, ragged places or unsightly blemishes. It is not new, but it has spend most of its life in a dark and dry closet. Note, as well, that the sac also features a mosquito net for the face (it can be detached too).
