I had the grandest of plans to take this high on the hill. Ended up being setup twice in my backyard with no real trail time ever. I set it up today for pics and was happy to see it again. This tent is one of the best single wall shelters ever made. I did notice under close inspection the small front mesh portion of the door has some catches in the material. Otherwise clean floor, nice poles. Tent bag and tent pole bag included. I will also throw in enough black aluminum y stakes to guy it out properly. Tent was only used once – realized that it is more tent than what I would ever use it for (not going on any mountaineering expeditions anytime soon), so reluctantly letting it go. Used it for one 4 day trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. The whole time in sub-freezing temps, and this tent help up like a champ. All pieces are included in perfect shape – no holes, rips, or tears. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and durability. All parts including the optional footprint are there. Has a large vestibule with mesh pocket for storage, 4 interior mesh pockets, very nice gear loft. Vents at head and feet. Double-walled and really designed for mountaineering expeditions. Again, this really is a high-quality tent. I was impressed with the attention to detail in the build. Ratings: REI 4.5 / 5, Google 4.3 / 5, Outdoor Gear Lab 4 /5, AT 8 / 10. Small footprint for steep or rocky slopes. Color-coded clips helps make for easy assembly. 36 square feet floor area. 9 square feet in vestibule, with another mesh pocket. Great tent, 100% functional and looks amazing. Only used a few times. Had one little nick in the fly (very small, smaller than a pencil eraser dot), applied some tape from inside and now perfectly sound. This is the classic Tan/Red model that most prefer and seek. Condition of both the tent and fly are near perfect. No stickiness and they do not stink. All zippers and pulls work great. Mesh windows and gear loft are in perfect shape. Never any wet animals or boots in the tent and we did not cook or eat inside it. All wet gear was kept in vestibule and tent was always dried completely before packing it away. Tent has been kept for the last year in a run away from UV in a temperature controlled closet. I take very good care of my gear. Tent poles and stakes show normal wear and aren’t beat up. Both are still perfectly useable without any repair or cleaning needed and cording in tent poles is not stretched and is very clean. This tent is bombproof. Plenty more adventuring left in her.
