Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2. Top rated backpacking tent on Outdoorgearlab. Just bought this one month ago and used it for only 1 night camping, and then we decided tent camping wasn’t for us. We were extremely careful with it as we weren’t sure we wanted it – we took great care of it. It’s basically new. There was a small tear in the carrying case, which I just repaired with a piece of gear aid tape (see picures for both original tear and repair). Compact and stable tunnel tent for solo trekkers who like to travel with a smaller backpack. One main pole and strong corner poles in aluminium give generous head height and space over the feet. The flysheet is made from Fjällrävens new high-performance nylon and an innovative construction that combines two different fabric weights giving excellent strength despite low weight. The vestibule is spacious for a one-man tent and there is plenty of room for gear. It is also possible to use double tent poles (an accessory) when using the tent in exposed conditions. Ventilation is excellent with three openings, positioned both high and low, which can be completely closed if needed. For really good airflow in warm conditions, the flysheet door can be rolled up to half way and fastened in place with an auto-lock that wont let the zipper creep in strong winds. All openings, including the inner tent door, are covered in a fine mesh that keeps out even the smallest, barely visible insects. Clothesline plus mesh pockets in the inner tent make it easy to dry gear and keep organised. Just like all of Fjällrävens tents, Abisko Lite 1 is made entirely without PVC plastic and toxic flame retardants, and its impregnation is fluorocarbon free. Brand new, set-up once in yard. Single pole design, can use included poles or Sticks. Have had mine in -15 degree, high wind and blowing snow, and inside with the stove it was over 70 Degrees Fahrenheit and I only wore a T-shirt while calmly enjoying a book! This thing is bullet-proof, uses the ultra-strong but still light Kerlon 2000 material and you won’t find better quality overall. Compare this to Seek Outside, Kifaru, and TiGoat and you will see this 6 man is a great deal! Sleeps 6 comfortably, seats up to a dozen people so excellent Food Tent or Base Camp. Ships anywhere on the planet, and b e sure to check out my other items! Is a tremendously versatile choice for anyone needing a large yet lightweight group tent in any season. Its center-plus-sidewall-support structure provides full standing height in the middle and full sitting height along the side walls, and it can be set up with either its own dedicated poles, with skis or a paddle (or similarly sized object) for the center and with trekking poles for the sides, or by suspending center and sidewall pole points. It sleeps 6 or more, and it can readily seat 12 or more around its interior perimeter. For greater comfort, the Altai Basic can be paired with the detachable floor (which comes in two pieces, and can be configured to have a center aisle, or to cover only half, or to cover the entire area or both), or with the optional floorless inner tent, or with both. And in warmer weather, the two side panels next to the entrance can be partially rolled up for extra venting. For guides, wilderness course leaders, search & rescue teams, and the like, the Altai makes both an excellent stand-alone shelter for first aid, dining, briefing or classroom sessions, and/or a large dedicated sleeping area. For paddle and bike tourers, it offers plenty of room to sort or fix gear out of the elements. Ski tourers, too, find the Altai a natural choice, as foot wells and sleeping platforms can be dug into the snow, and snow flaps keep the walls firmly in place. At the same time, the Altais simplicity and large space to very low weight ratio make it an excellent choice for Scouts or any group even a couple who will find the Altai convenient, comfortable and palatial on any trip in any season! Two versions are available: the lighter weight Altai UL Basic is made from Kerlon 1200 the same lightweight fabric found in our all-season Red Label tents and is ideal for those needing the lightest weight package. The Altai XP Basic, meanwhile, uses Kerlon 2000, an exceptionally strong, heavy duty fabric, and is a better choice for more demanding use.
