Up for sale is my Moss Olympic tent. This tent was manufactured in Camden, Maine. It had served me well through the years, but hasn’t been used for quite some time. It was well cared for and stored loosely folded in a cotton bag in a non smoking home. I had stopped using the tent because I had a family and dog which required a larger tent. There are no tears in the material and all poles are in good shape. The screen on one door has several minor holes near the top… The tent has developed a sticky consistency exterior bottom and parts of the rainfly. I had contacted the people who previously worked at Moss and formed a tent repair business (which I think is now closed) and they had recommended simply applying talcum powder to the affected areas. That does work, but only for a certain time. Searching the internet recently, there are some fixes that involved removing the old waterproofing and then reapplying. It doesn’t appear complicated, but I’m not interested in going down this route so I’ve decided to put this gem up for sale.
