I ordered this tent directly from China. It took a couple of months to get here and in that time I changed cars and I can’t use it any longer. The tent features a telescoping aluminum ladder, double layer waterproof canvas, large skylight for viewing the stars at night, windows on each side, foam mattress, hydraulic opening hard shell, etc. Shell: ABS = Stainless pole frame + High quality wooden board. Body: Durable Canvas Polyester Oxford PU, UV-resistant & Waterproof. Mattress: 2 inch memory foam. Ladder: 90 Aluminum Alloy. Max Load: 660 pounds. Length/width/height: 85″ x 83″ x 51. Inside: 83″ x 83″. I’m located between Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. I’ve been asked several times who the company/label is. There isn’t a company/label, as I went straight to the source. The Chinese factory was willing to put whatever label on I wanted and I declined. As a reference, this is a clone of another high-end hard shell tent. That tent is manufactured in South Korea. Setting Up The SUV Tent. Set Up The Tent. Set up is similar to any tent. Lay out the tent, assemble the fiberglass poles and thread through the pole sleeves. Place the poles onto the pole pins to stand the tent up and attach the pole clips. Attach Tent To Vehicle. Back up the vehicle until its bumper touches the lower sleeve. Place the upper sleeve over the raised rear hatch door. Simply buckle the upper sleeve’s (2) top straps around the roof rack’s rear cross bar. Adjust the location of the rear cross bar if necessary. If the vehicle is without a cross bar, clip the extension strap’s J-hooks to the vehicle’s windshield wipers. Attach The Lower Sleeve. Lower the rear hatch door just enough to buckle the lower sleeve’s black strap over it. Attach the lower sleeve’s orange straps to the inside of the vehicle’s cargo area. Attach The Upper Sleeve. Attach the A and B straps to the vehicle’s wheel well and tighten. Run the C strap under the vehicle’s wheel well and clip it to the D strap and tighten. Repeat these steps to the straps on the other side of the vehicle. Stake The SUV Tent And Add The Rainfly. Stake the corners, sides, and guy lines of the tent. Add the rainfly to the tent if needed. When you take down the tent, it will fold up with the rainfly, disassembled poles, stakes, etc. And fit back into the carry bag. Includes all the tools you need to fit and assemble. Requires 2 people to fit and assemble. To assemble, remove the PVC cover, release the adjustable rubber hook and then the tent will open automatically. To close away the tent pull the webbing down until you can fix the adjustable rubber hook onto the’fixed’ button. If using roof cross bars, we recommend at least 3 bars in order to safely distribute the weight of the tent, luggage and 2 people. When packing away, you will need to remove all objects from inside the tent. After use, ensure ladder is ALWAYS locked into place and angled AWAY from the vehicle. Ensure the tent is packed down securely before travelling with it. Tools required to assemble are included in the accessory pack. Keep the rail of the base clean and dry. Ensure the tent is as dry as possible before packing away. If the aluminium frame does have water in it, erect the tent and pour out the water. Clean the rail of the motorised pushing rod before each usage. DO NOT place heavy objects on top of the tent. DO NOT drive with the tent erected. Clean and wipe the tent with a wet rag.
