A De Waard Lepelaar Classic Dutch Canvas Storm Tent in a lovely burgundy colour scheme. This tent is fully loaded with the much sought-after varioluifel awning and two matching side wings. Basically very clean canvas although on the left side there is a lighter patch due to recent cleaning. Hopefully this will even up when the tent has been through a few cycles of sun and rain. Otherwise no marks on this tent. Absolutely no damage or repairs. The patch that has been cleaned looks worse in the photo than it does in real life! These modern cameras seem to accentuate certain colours. All the lines and aluminium rings are in good condition and the groundsheet is very clean and not scratched. The inner curtains are a canvas material on these later models. Very good quality and quite thick. Size – 3.4 metres wide by 4.5 metres deep including sleeping areas 2.5 metres deep (rounded back). 2.5 metres high at the mast and 1.95 at the entrance so as high as an Albatros at the mast and two inches higher at the entrance. There are the usual ventilation panels at the rear of the tent, with zipped covers. Windows in the front doors with mosquito netting above. This tent also benefits from the optional full-length mosquito door on the left-hand side. This allows for extra cooling and ventilation on hot nights without allowing flies or mosquitoes into the tent. The following items are included. De Waard varioluifel awning. A De Waard Albatros Classic Dutch Canvas Pyramid Storm Tent from around 1996. Extremely good and clean condition. No damage or repairs. We cannot find any marks at all on this tent except for a bit of light weather related usage. A good rain storm would doubtless do it the world of good. There are no signs of fading. All the lines and aluminium rings are in excellent condition too. The sewn in groundsheet is clean and fresh, not scratched or worn. Size – 4.2 metres wide by 4.4 metres deep. 2.5 metres high at the mast and 1.9 at the entrance. There are 4 ventilation panels at the rear of the tent, with zipped covers. Vrijbuiter Arend (Eagle) Dutch Canvas Tent with Inner Tent. This tent is in fantastic clean condition, we could only find one small piece of bird poo on it. There are no signs of fading. All the lines are in excellent condition and the zipped in groundsheet is perfect. Size – 3 metres wide by 3.6 metres deep. 2.4 metres high at the mast and 1.9 at the entrance. The tent benefits from having its original inner tent plus a side sail which can be fixed either side of the entrance to keep drafts out. The following items are included. All pegs and lines required. There are windows either side of the entrance with mosquito nets above. There is also a built-in canopy above the entrance 110 cm deep. With the side sail this provides a pleasant sheltered space for sitting outside. This is a really solid medium sized Dutch tent. It would be ideal for a couple with one or two children. Being able to unzip the ground sheet allows the whole package to be carried as two separate items plus the poles in a third bag. Needless to say the poles are like new. Any questions please ask.. De Waard Albatros Classic Dutch Canvas Tent with Inner Tent. One owner and in beautiful condition. Collected from a very nice couple in Hilversum only this week. We cannot find any marks at all on this tent and there are no signs of fading. All the lines are in excellent condition too. The sewn in groundsheet is perfect. Size – 4.2 metres wide by 4.4 metres deep. 2.5 metres high at the mast and 1.9 at the entrance. The tent benefits from having the optional full-length mosquito door. This can be secured on hot nights in place of the normal left side canvas door, providing improved ventilation. There are also 4 ventilation panels at the rear of the tent, with zipped covers. I collected this yesterday from a genuine couple just north of Amsterdam. A one owner De Waard Zilvermeeuw (Herring Gull) from 1995. All very good with the only repair being a pole tip hole which has been patched in the front canopy area, not the living area itself and hard to spot in use. Dimensions 3 metres wide by 3.8 deep plus a front canopy 1 metre deep. 2.2 metres high at the mast and 1.8 metres high at the entrance. Having twin masts this tent provides good headroom over a large area. Note that this tent has the extended De Waard canopy with side zips that connect to the wings. This can be zipped down as shown and in this position one is provided with a covered awning area 2.25 metres deep. This is also reassuring as it can be zipped down for security when the tent is left unattended. The sewn in groundsheet ensures that nights are spent free from insects and rising damp. A clean tent for its age with only normal usage marks and a bit of bird poo. It could do with a good soaking. The canvas is solid and smells fresh. The colour is consistent. This tent has only been used for one week which is why it is in outstanding condition. A beautiful teal colour on sand. The height of the king pole is 2.3 metres and the front is 1.85 metres high. The tent is 3 metres wide by 4 metres deep, plus the awning which provides an additional 1.3 metres of depth. The awning is a joy as it zips to the main tent, providing a perfect draught-free fit. There are vents with mosquito mesh above the front windows which can be left open for air at night. Laminated erection instructions are provided and the poles are colour-coded for ease of assembly. All lines and pegs included. This tent is virtually mint. It smells as though it has just come out of a shop. A fairly recent example of a Dutch pyramid tent in outstanding condition. The tent fabric has only a very few light marks on it and looks superb. The awning is new and has not been used before. The front of the tent is a very modern grey colour while the zips are a funky sort of crimson red. The height of the king pole is 2.3 metres and the front is 1.85 metres high. The tent is 2.8 metres wide by 3.5 metres deep, plus the awning which provides an additional 1.2 metres of depth. The groundsheet is sewn-in so the inside should remain insect and rain free. There are vents with mosquito mesh above the front windows which can be left open for air at night. Laminated erection instructions are provided and the poles are colour-coded for ease of assembly. All lines and pegs included. This tent would be ideal for a couple or a single parent with one or two children. It is a nice light package and the awning provides useful additional covered space. I should add that the saggy bits in the photos are due to my putting it up in thirty degree heat this afternoon and being too exhausted to tension it all out properly. Vrijbuiter Koekoek 4 Berth Dutch Canvas Tent. Very good condition and offering vast amounts of space with the included awning. This is the first time we have seen one of these. It is a very user-friendly design. The tent is wider at the back than at the front whilst the two inner tents sit either side of the rear living area, itself lit by a rear window. Dimensions 3 metres wide at the front and 6.2 metres wide at the back. 4 metres deep plus a built in canopy 0.85 metres deep. 2.3 metres high at the masts and 1.8 metres high at the entrance. A variable awning offers further sheltered space and can be closed down in bad weather. This is only in the last photograph as I did not see it until I was packing up! One of the joys of these tents is that the front wall is zipped in. It can either be located at the front to provide maximum internal area, such as in bad weather, or it can be zipped into position further into the tent, thus providing a generous awning area for sitting out. In audition to the awning referred to above! The groundsheet is zipped in and covers the entire footprint of the tent. There are two good sized inner tents which flank the living area which itself benefits from a window with blind at the rear. It is highly unusual to come across a pyramid tent with a rear window. We have checked all the zips. There are two hanging storage units with this tent. Needless to say, there is no damage to this tent and no repairs have been carried out. The colour is consistent and I cannot see any fading. There are some small spots of sap and bird droppings. Doubtless some of these would benefit from a good downpour. The tent looks very clean though and the canvas is firm and smells fresh. The poles are all good and straight and we have checked all the lines and ensured a full itinerary of pegs. Laminated erection instructions are provided in English and the poles are colour-coded for ease of assembly. This tent would be ideal for a family. The separate groundsheet and the zipped in front wall allow the tent to be broken down into several packages that are convenient to transport. With the additional awning almost any weather conditions can be catered for. Like a lot of people we camp without inner tents so I did a few measurements. It is worth noting that the areas to the rear left and right of the king poles would each take a double bed 7 feet long by 5 feet wide! This is a remarkable piece of Military Surplus equipment. This well-made system was originally used by the Armed forces of the Netherlands. Could be deployed in many different situations such as wedding venues, outdoor changing areas, large group camp showers and more.
