Ich glaube ich muss dazu nicht mehr viel sagen. Dies shelter ist ein klassiker! Alle nähte sind getaped, es ist komplett wasserdicht. Man kann das sl-2 auch mit a-frame trekkingpoles aufbauen. So hat man keine störenden zeltstangen in der mitte. Der grundriss hat eine länge von 240 cm und in der mitte hat er eine breite von 170 cm. An kopf und stirnseite beträgt die breite 110 cm. Innen im first wurde eine wäscheleine angebracht und zusätzlich packe ich noch 4 neue sturmabspannungen dazu. Mit original packsack wiegt das ganze glück 740 g. Never used with the exception of putting on seam sealer in back yard. Includes nest and aliminum pole. If I did have an inner bug net it will only be for half of the tipi tent, because I need to have no tent floor at the entrance. The tie-outs, however, look likely for tying-in a reflective aluminized nylon “dew cloth” on one side near the bottom of this tipi tent. In addition, being able to tie-out the door looks likely for reflecting a small wood fire outside the tipi tent. The Shangri-La 3 Flysheet includes a DAC aluminum pole, nest, and a stuff sack for everything and a stuff sack. Potential to add flute and use a titanium wood stove. “ray-way” tarptent – single person. Though in a storm pitched low, two could easily fit 2 people under it. Shortly after ray jardine published his designs for light weight packing, the company golite teamed with ray to make commercial versions of his designs. This sale is for the commercially made golite versions of both the tarp and the bug net with bathtub floor. Everything is seam sealed and in great shape. The pictures above are of the exact model, though i live in a condo with no place to set it up. So, i snagged some google search photos. Photo one has the bug net inside, photo two does not. If you want to see many photos of this, you can google ray-way tarptent. Ray sells kits to make your own and lot’s of folks love showing off pictures of their finished projects. This design is the actual ray design and made by golite. It has the overlapping horizontal flap on the front of the bug-net for sealing. Later models added a zipper to the front instead (my opinion, added weight with no real advantage). Search google for ray jardine tarptent to find it. Tarp with stuff sack – 15 oz stuffed size – 8″ x 6″! Bug net with bathtub floor – 11oz -stuff size – 10″x6″. – both could be compressed even smaller, but that is the size of the sacks. Standard setup is with two trekking poles. You will need six stakes. To use the side lifters, a couple more stakes could be used. However, i always use available rocks or other tie off points for those rare occasion when i used the lifters. For the weight, it covers more space than anything i have ever seen. If the weather gets bad, this can be setup low and wide like an airplane wing and it will ride out almost any wind with plenty of room for your gear to stay dry too. These are a bit of an art to setup, but with a few practice runs – it’s a breeze (and it impresses the heck out of other hikers). I highly recommend you learn to make a clove hitch knot to wrap around the stakes. It is secure and when you slide the stakes out, the knot just disappears – brilliant. I have two of these. I bought the golite version, and then for a hiking mate i made another one from scratch. I need to sell one. My sewing technique is functional however not always pretty. No rips, tears, or repairs. This shelter is in fantastic shape, as it has only been used 2-3 times; and then was stored away well and dry. I have made one minor alteration (re: improvement imo) to the shelter. I carefully cut off the heavy webbing that golite uses for stake loops and attached lighter line-locs with longer lightweight reflective cord to be used for staking. This was done for me by a professional, and is well tacked and strong. This alteration is both lighter than the original thick webbing and also allows for more flexibility in setting up the shelter, because the line is longer and you can set shelter up higher if desired, or can stake it real close to the ground.
