For sale by original owner. This bivy was used a handful of times while camping, always in a tent, not directly in the dirt. It is clean, well cared for and properly stored. There are no wear or damage to the fabric or protective barrier, the zipper is intact, the bug mesh is without defects. Inside pad straps were cut. Please note: this item is difficult to accurately photograph. If you need more detail, please ask. The Highland bivy sack from Outdoor Research balances waterproofness with breathability. It features a high-volume foot section. 2.5-layer Pertex® Shield DS (Direct to Skin) stretch ripstop fabric is highly breathable, waterproof and wind resistant; it’s also flexible and lightweight. Pertex Shield DS also incorporates an internal “dry touch” hydrophilic polyurethane coating, reducing the sticky, clammy feeling that some coatings can leave. Features a durable Hydroseal®-coated waterproof nylon taffeta floor; all seams are taped for complete protection. No-see-um netting keeps even the tiniest bugs out. I have a few lighter shelter set ups and have progressed towards ultra length day trips rather than multi-night backpackers. This item is not getting any use by me, so hopefully it can go to a loving household that will give it the use it deserves. This item weighs just over one pound, and is the perfect option for the ultralight enthusiast who sometimes likes to go solo or wants additional shelter options.
