VERY RARE Volkswagen VW VANAGON Westfalia Side Tent OEM Excellent Condition 1980-92 Very, very difficult to find this side tent here in the US because these were made exclusively for the European VW market. This one came from a 1986 Vanagon. The woman I bought it from said she bought it with her 1986 VW from a fellow in Arizona about a year ago. She also said that the original owner used it maybe once or twice- she didn’t use it at all. This side tent is in SUPER NICE condition- really quite amazing for a 30+ year old tent! I cannot find any issues with it. Canvas is great- very, very clean with no rips or holes. Vinyl roof and other vinyl/plastic is great with no holes. Honestly, it really looks almost like the day it came from the factory-’almost new’ so to speak. It does not smell musty either. It was in Arizona most of its life, which a big reason why it is so nice. This fits the VW Vanagons like a glove- attaches to the rain gutter. All the original poles/parts are accounted for, except for a few missing wing nuts. I will go to the hardware store and get some replacements. Comes with the original lightweight canvas bag for the tent and heavy orange canvas bag for the poles. Also, will include an additional larger bag that you can put the tent in (not sure if the poles will fit in it also). There is no floor with this side tent. All the parts are labeled with a Sharpie marker to make assembly easier. I don’t have a picture of it assembled, but I have included a picture from the internet of one that is nearly identical (but white instead of brown). The photocopied instruction sheet is in German, but you can translate it to English with your iPhone. Of course if you live in Oregon, you are welcome to pick it up at my house. We have available this very well preserved 8′x 10′ Canvas Camping Cabin Tent. We bought this new in the late 70′s, used it 2 or 3 times and has been very carefully stored until this last week. When we opened it up it was folded very neatly, inside its bag, in the box, instructions included. Immaculately maintained, very clean inside and out, adult used, no kids were ever in it. We took it camping last week just to set it up and see how it has survived. It has a metal frame set-up and 14 stakes around the base. Everything is in tip-top shape considering its age, zippers, screens, etc. Attractive looking tent also, lots of complements. I had the grandest of plans to take this high on the hill. Ended up being setup twice in my backyard with no real trail time ever. I set it up today for pics and was happy to see it again. This tent is one of the best single wall shelters ever made. I did notice under close inspection the small front mesh portion of the door has some catches in the material. Otherwise clean floor, nice poles. Tent bag and tent pole bag included. I will also throw in enough black aluminum y stakes to guy it out properly. You are looking at a sweet lightly used Hilleberg Nallo 3 tent that’s ready to go camping. This is the Nallo version with the merely large vestibule as compared to the GT with the enormous one. This has tons of storage in the front vestibule regardless and obviously weighs less as well-a shade over a pound lighter than the GT which adds up over the course of a long trip.
