Vrijbuiter Koekoek 4 Berth Dutch Canvas Tent. Very good condition and offering vast amounts of space with the included awning. This is the first time we have seen one of these. It is a very user-friendly design. The tent is wider at the back than at the front whilst the two inner tents sit either side of the rear living area, itself lit by a rear window. Dimensions 3 metres wide at the front and 6.2 metres wide at the back. 4 metres deep plus a built in canopy 0.85 metres deep. 2.3 metres high at the masts and 1.8 metres high at the entrance. A variable awning offers further sheltered space and can be closed down in bad weather. This is only in the last photograph as I did not see it until I was packing up! One of the joys of these tents is that the front wall is zipped in. It can either be located at the front to provide maximum internal area, such as in bad weather, or it can be zipped into position further into the tent, thus providing a generous awning area for sitting out. In audition to the awning referred to above! The groundsheet is zipped in and covers the entire footprint of the tent. There are two good sized inner tents which flank the living area which itself benefits from a window with blind at the rear. It is highly unusual to come across a pyramid tent with a rear window. We have checked all the zips. There are two hanging storage units with this tent. Needless to say, there is no damage to this tent and no repairs have been carried out. The colour is consistent and I cannot see any fading. There are some small spots of sap and bird droppings. Doubtless some of these would benefit from a good downpour. The tent looks very clean though and the canvas is firm and smells fresh. The poles are all good and straight and we have checked all the lines and ensured a full itinerary of pegs. Laminated erection instructions are provided in English and the poles are colour-coded for ease of assembly. This tent would be ideal for a family. The separate groundsheet and the zipped in front wall allow the tent to be broken down into several packages that are convenient to transport. With the additional awning almost any weather conditions can be catered for. Like a lot of people we camp without inner tents so I did a few measurements. It is worth noting that the areas to the rear left and right of the king poles would each take a double bed 7 feet long by 5 feet wide! Its a palace for one, cozy for two, and for three if everyone is good friends or if you want to have a poker game out of the rain. I got this after high winds destroyed 2 tents on a trip to Guadalupe Mountains National Park. I ordered yellow, but it came as orange, you wont lose it! Great for hunting season. Used but in Excellent Condition (used with care and only on a handful of trips). This is the Gray Silnylon version. Includes guy-lines, stuff sack, and a spare piece of fabric in case repairs are ever necessary. Factory weight: 18oz / 510gm (thats before seam-sealing & guy lines). Trekking poles and stakes are not included. Photo #9 shows where there’s some dirt staining , It doesn’t affect the performance at all and it might be possible to wash it off. Vintage Tent excellent Condition. Excellent and completely intact 1950/60′s throwback. All original – even down to the pegs! This model has the desired’Built-in-Groundsheet. It has been in dry storage for many years, but doesn’t it look fantastic in the open air again? It is small and light… A little over 5Kg 54cm x 20cm round. It’s simple to erect and tall enough to stand up in (for me and the family anyhow). It’s a waterproof, breathable, single skin tent. Flysheets were available on this model as an’extra’ – how times change eh? Collect if you like, tent is in Settle, North Yorkshire BD24.
